The manager of this store is a con-artist. We phoned ahead for specific tires and were told they were in stock, drove 45 minutes, only to be told they didn't have the tires, and then that we should buy more expensive tires, lower miles, because all tires rot out after 3 years so buying higher mileage tires is pointless. All of this was said to me, a woman, while my boyfriend hung in the back. Absolutely disreputable.....told us he had tires in stock which he didn't f'n have. Drove 45 minutes in bad weather for nothing. Then he tried to upsell with a whole line of bullshit laid on a woman.. not that stupid here buttwipe...reporting to corporate. Lost $800 sale...and any future sales EVER.
Pep Boys Damages Diplomatic Vehicle! Beware of standard and advanced services at Pep Boys! We brought in a diplomatic vehicle for standard air conditioning service and left with a damaged vehicle, failed fuel pump, ragged running engine, and several thousand dollars in expenses! Towed vehicle there and was told that we needed a new motor and 2 new gaskets. The cost was extreme. Towed it somewhere else to an ethical mechanic. He said the motor was perfect and clean looking. He is working on it now and said it needs a new water pump, tune up and some other services at $700 cheaper than Pep Boys total bogus quote. Wonder how many other local Dacula victims have been robbed and lied to.
I misplaced the business card until today and i told Jean I would leave a good review as he gave me excellent service on my car some weeks ago, He really helped me out with getting my car fixed and I plan to go back again. Thank you Jean
The pep boys In Stratford nj has to either incompetent or lazy! I been there a few times and every time I went to either service my truck or get something fixed they tell me they can’t fix it or they can’t figure out what the problem. I took my truck to pep boys in Woodbury and they fixed all the issues with no hesitation or problem. Stratford pep boys employees are lazy ! Enough said…..

New owners over the years recently I think. Things changed. Just verified what I thought. SCAM. Gave me $1300 estimate for fishy stuff. Went next door to Dee Reliable nothing wrong with brakes, rotors, NOTHING.. Ceramic breaks squeak a bit normally. And did not need all those other repairs. Just got new brakes 6 months ago from Pep.and they were trying to replace one of those too. Beenna good 15 YEARS with old owners but sometimes good things END I guess. I'm a guy too .. what do they do to women??
Visited the shop without appointment for them to check my EVAP system and confirm my diagnosis of faulty leak detection pump, even though I stressed I could arrange a better time and bring the car back, the rep told me to leave the car and they would complete the fault finding!! After 5 hours I rang them to find car had not been touched and it was closing, went to pick up my car after wasted afternoon to discover they had lost my keys!!
