Horrible since bought by United Healthcare. Buyer beware. Seniors beware. A cruel company lacking moral standards and compassion.
Left me in a hospital after a stroke for 8 days while making a decision on rehab or skilled nursing. The 8 day hospital visit alone would have covered the rehab. If rehab is a covered benifit then why do they get to make a choice. News six on your side with Angela Hill needs to be revised because it is pitiful how they put elderly people in a skilled nursing home rather than rehab them. Moved here from Florida, had United Health there which was nice, they have put me in hell by going to Peoples, trying to get into a specialist in NE La almost impossible, no one wants to take this Do your homework not advisable
Since UnitedHealth bought them, I would not get this company again for my health insurance. My main complaint with this is the company used for prescription services optumRX . I have been put on my arthritis cream been on it for 5 years and all of a sudden optumRX said there were not going to cover it. They had very rude customer service people that basically called me a liar. People's health is reduced their benefits so much and trying to get anything done over the phone with them is almost impossible because they shift you from one person to the other or leave you on the line forever and you just end up giving up I will be leaving People's health at the end of this year for a different company it sure has changed since UnitedHealth took it over and not for the better
