Organic, Spendy This is located in downtown La Crosse which is known for its horrible parking. The People's Co-Op is fairly clean, very organic and interesting. Much is sold in bulk form which is good sometimes. The prices are high though. Even with high prices and terrible parking, this store seems fairly busy for a downtown store. I also witnessed what I believe was a supervisor admonishing a subordinate. This should never be done in public. I don't know what the problem was, but I was embarressed for the employee. Great This store is fairly pricy, but if you want organic foods, it's the place to go. They have a great deli and bakery. They also have a great selection of whatever organic foods you would ever want. They just redid the building, so it's a very nice atmosphere and a very clean store. They have a nice selection of healthy snacks for kids, which is definitely a plus. They also have a great downtown La Crosse location. Highly recommended.
A large selection of natural foods My husband and I are not very into natural/organic foods, but we wandered through the People's Food Co-Op recently. I was impressed by the selection of organic/alternative foods available, and even thought that nut burgers didn't taste too bad (they had a sample available). They also feature a take-out food area, plus they will have cooking classes from time to time. We were most excited, though, by finding Oregon Chai Decaf concentrate there- so good!

love the coffee the muffin choices yum glorious morning my favorite! love the bulk items. so much cheaper in the long run since you get what you need and dont have as much waste! deals are great.

I look for member owned co-ops whenever I travel, finding People’s Food Co-op in LaCrosse was a treat. As an owner and employee of Whole Foods Co-op in Duluth, I appreciate finding healthy food choices in a world of corporate crap. The cold brew coffee on tap was a bonus.
