Customer service is always nice over the phone, in person can be up in the air. This bank is closing all branches near/in the Raleigh area, the Cary branch has already been closed down, this is the last location and is closing August 1, 2025. The closest branch will be a 2 hours or more drive.
I would be very careful before submitting any loan applications here. They are not very thorough in handling paperwork and ultimately set me back about 45 days in search for a home equity loan. I kept having to help them do basic arithmetic in adding up figures in my application and ultimately had to walk away out of fear that basic competency was not met. Only work with them if you are absolutely desperate.
WORST.BANK.EVER! Totally unhelpful when it comes to trying to conduct business as an authorized account user and power of attorney for a sick, elderly parent. I have followed every letter of the law yet they have fought me at every opportunity and even went so far as to tell me I would have to take my 84 year old mother out of the nursing home, bring her into the branch in her wheelchair (she is bedridden, wears a catheter, and is almost completely deaf) during a raging pandemic, to sign documents and make transactions.
