Hoping this shop reopens soon
What is this place now?? It hasn't shown any sign of life for decades. Peony Garden is remembered from long, long ago as the favoured lunch stop for staff at what was Bicycle Institute of Victoria, 3 doors down in the Environment Centre. I worked there from 1981 to 1984, and Peony Garden was the place to be for sweet and sour and spring rolls. I would get lost in the street now. They are never open, wanted to buy a supper 8 camera but every time, I go they aren't open (been going there for a month between 1-2pm mon- Fri as it say on the window). Can someone please suggest a good camera shop that sell supper 8/ old camera as I want to add to my camera collection.
Very sweet Asian couple who came to Aus from Hong Kong! Just be respectful, don't touch the cameras and you'll be fine. Lady might be a tad impatient, but her husband is lovely and would speak to you about the cameras at length and show you how they work. Make sure you carry cash though because it's cash only.
Owner is extremely rude. Id give 0 stars if possible. The husband is lovely. The wife is devil incarnate.
