John was very prompt getting back to us on the same day to see the work to be done and give a quote. He was very motivated and started early working very hard with a keen eye for detail sanding, painting and caulking our stairs and bannister. He did a few coats to ensure the finish was perfect and recommended the type and quantity of paints to buy. He worked around our joiner and adjusted his timescale for the work accordingly. We shopped around for a decorator to paint our communal stairwell, and asked for quotes from several companies - very few traders even bothered to get back to us. But John at Pentland Painting phoned me back promptly, make arrangements to visit and gave us a comprehensive and reasonable quote. When the work started, they were polite, considerate, effective, thorough and the completed work is really great.
