great staff, blood work nurse was gentle and fast. a bit of a wait but the people working made it less terrible.
We visited the ER with our 10 year old who had been sick for a couple of weeks with a wide range of symptoms. The department was clean, the triage nurse was kind, and registration was courteous, especially considering the difficult situations and verbal abuse they were dealing with from other patients experiencing mental health crises. Only rating a 1 because 0 isnt an option. Absolute CRAP service!!! If you have a child with shortness of breath and chest pains dont go to this ER. they will keep you waiting over 2 hours for the doctor to even see them, and then see someone with an ingrown toe nail first!!!! Probably in more danger going to this hospital!! Get it together!!!
The emergency department at PRH is horrible. For a small city that does not have to deal with as many emergencies as bigger cities, the staff really don't care about the patient's wellbeing and are way too laid back. Not impressed at all. Inconsiderate and lacking empathy and compassion.
My mother went in 3 times via ambulance and she asked Dr Rose to check her for pneumonia because she has copd and has been feeling horrible for weeks. He said it was nothing and sent her home twice. The third time my mom got a new doctor and did the tests and yup she has pneumonia. I took myself in to emergency the day after since I've been sick for about 3 weeks and no end in sight. Got the same Dr Rose and he said nothing he could do, I told him my mom was in here the night before and she has pneumonia and I live with her.... read more
