I had a 401k through a company partnered with pensys, if I had known how disorganized their company was I never would have invested with them. Very unprofessional. I have been trying to retrieve my retirement funds from them after leaving my previous place of unemployment. Business response:
Mr. H**** requested a distribution package in late April. The package was forwarded to him by mail on May 6,2019. Mr. H**** called on 5-19-2109 to say he had not receive the package. Email copy of package was forwarded to Mr. H**** the same day. Completed Package was returned to PenSys on 5-21-2019. There was an issue as we are only able to wire funds and Mr. H**** was insisting on an ACH. It took a couple days for him to get wiring instructions from his bank. I had a company 401k acct with Pensys. They required a mail-in form to make a rollover of my funds when I left. It took Pensys 3 WEEKS to process this and then MAILED a check to my new account which took another 10 days to be received and deposited. I have done fund transfers in one day. This company is inept or seriously understaffed. They appear to be unaware of current modern money transfer methods. In the meantime my acct value dropped 6 percent. Excessive fees for performing a rollover! They charged me an excessive fee of $145 when I closed out my 401k to roll it over to my IRA at another company, yet didn't bother to inform me about any such fee. I spoke with them over the phone before the roll over to make sure I understood all the details of it, and and there was no mention of any fees associated with it.
