I Do Not recommend Penny Mac; they have been a nightmare to deal with. My stepfather passed without sharing all the needed account information. We have sent in the required documents regarding the Trust to allow the executor to assume the mortgage and create a new login. These items have been sent multiple times we are always told Not Received. Hours and hours spent on the phone... to date, not resolved after 14 months! You can't pay your bills online without setting up auto pay through your bank account. It gives them the power to take the money when they want before you get it. Not how I like to do business.
I had a very frustrating experience with PennyMac Loan Services. A loan officer, Elizabeth Lew, took my full application for a refinance over the phone and ran my credit, repeatedly assuring me they could beat the offer I already had in process with another lender. However, when I asked for a Loan Estimate, she refused to provide one and said they only issue Loan Estimates if I lock my rate with them.
