Worst bank ever had to deal with on a mortgage I currently have through them. Tried payment 3 times in 1 month and got rejected and called 8 times within a 2 week period to verify payment. No one can help you with that. They tell u it has to go though pending process. They won’t let you pay another way. Will never refer this bank to anyone ever. Will never finance with them when I refinance out of their name.

I would not recommend refinancing with Penny Mac. I was with Penny Mac for almost a year when they contacted me to refinance. I processed with the refinance but instead of refunding my excess in my escrow account, they applied it to the principal of my original loan after I informed the loan office to transfer the escrow to the new loan. I am a 100% disabled veteran in Texas, which means I do not pay property taxes. Which is why had an excess amount in my escrow account. I got a mortgage with PennyMac. While the app and website are useful, the customer service is lacking. I'm a disabled veteran in TX. Because of that, I get a property tax exemption. I've had countless emails and phone calls to customer support defending and proving this point. Sending them messages has not been very useful but they are polite on the phone and always fix the problem.
