Usery at its best, unprofessional, unethical, avoid this company.
DO NOT use this mortgage company! I had an existing mortgage with them for over 10 years, so you would think things would be simple. Instead, they pestered me for six weeks about every little thing. Some documents were asked for and sent several times. Communication is terrible! Then less than 5 days before closing they wanted to deny my loan because they wanted an additional huge amount to close and wanted me to produce more documents. Pennymac is nothing but fraudulent. Before closing on my home they appraised my house at over $520k, the purchase price from the builder was $503k and is paid 50K down payment. 3 years later with home improvements; blooming neighbourhood (Pecan Square) with all homes both new and pre owned not less than $510K. I requested Pennymac to remove my mortgage insurance considering my home equity; they insisted I pay $190 for someone to come and apprise my home. This mortgage company has been one of the most predatory lenders I’ve ever dealt with. Not only have they drained money through excessive and unclear charges, but they’ve also severely damaged people’s lives in the process. Reporting false or unfair information to the credit bureaus is completely unacceptable. I hope they are held accountable just like they’ve caused hardship for others.
