My brother is a resident in a nursing home and is a bi-lateral amputee. He is unable to get up from bed without assistance and is unable to ambulate on his own. He was transported by this ambulance on two (2) occasions - one to the emergency room and one to a medically necessary doctor appointment. Just like others, they sent to collectors before I even got the bill in the mail. Got the bill in May, she said the final invoice was generated April 16... For an ambulance trip in February.
The service the ambulance provided was good. But their billing is terrible. They screwed up my insurance. So I sent the statement with the correct insurance and they sent the statement with how much I owed. I was making monthly payments without missing a payment and they still sent it to collections! What does that? 2nd I had them come to urgent care to transport me to the hospital 2.5 miles away. They did vital and transported me to the hospital- that’s it. Over $1000- ridiculous.
If I could give a zero should would. Woman answering the phone is extremely rude&unprofessional. My husband rode in ambulance along with me was not treated In the ambulance and was charged. Asked for the manager and was told whenever he gets in give him message which can tell by way was said not going happen. Mind u its against the law to charge some1 with medicaid for a ambulance ride.
Billing Department is rude and they refuse to send invoices at times. These people refer everyone to collections, even when insurance covers. For a long period of time they did not accept certain insurance s.They were out of network. The towns need to go back to there own EMS.
