Beautiful state park that I saw via kayak. The staff were helpful setting up the rental and explaining the different kayaking routes. Only issue is traffic flow and parking availability. Arriving there at or before 9 am is best for guaranteeing a spot.
Art and Dan were great! Very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions. We did the snorkeling trip and it was our first time. We took 2 teens and a 12 year old and they all enjoyed it. We did have a slight issue with one of the teens experiencing some nausea but Art and Dan were very accommodating with the mints and VIP section. lol. We will definitely be back.
We had a great time exploring the mangroves of Pennekamp! The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We rented a 2 seat sit on top kayak. The staff gave us great advice and tips for a good trip. The mangroves are peaceful and relaxing. We went early in the AM and avoided the crowds and hotter part of the day. They have all the equipment you need, plenty of kayaks and waterproof map to take along.
