Instead of fixing my hammer toe by severing the tendon, my doctor inserted a needle under my toe and scrambled the tendon until my toe laid flat. I now have chronic pain in that area. After being diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, a second doctor came in and was only concerned with giving me a custom orthotic-at a cost of $500. The orthotic did nothing and I have not heard from them again. No follow up call to make sure it fit or if it worked. I was amazed at how bad the service was.
