Called as a seller to get an estimate on a structural inspection needed for a property- employee/ owner stated he normally does this for buyer and became a real estate agent in 3 seconds advising me on the deal. Had an issue with a local building inspector regarding a deck I had built on my property. I contacted Penn Valley Engineering and from the initial contact until the closing report, Brad was in constant contact with me explaining every step of the process. The Engineer that came out (Greg) was extremely thorough and professional. He took the time to understand my situation and explained each step of the inspection. They performed an inspection of my property, and the inspection results aside, he was the most impersonal and stand offish contractor I have crossed paths with in my 27 year career. I don't need filler, but at least address the person who's property you are inspecting and introduce yourself. Maybe a business card? And he left the same way he arrived....not a word, just a smug look. So as it goes, and with no mention of the company to anyone.....in the past weeks his name has come up in my back yard 3 times.
