Do not go to Saint Joseph Medical Center emergency room. The inept, uncaring and rude staff are too busy taking care of themselves to take care of patients, leaving the latter to wait and wait and wait, increasing the patient's trauma and not administering to his or her needs, It is almost as if the nurses and doctors forgot about the human being in one of their rooms down the hall. I was involved in an auto accident on I-78, so the ambulance took me and my son here. I can't fathom more incomplete care. I sat in blood and glass for nearly 90 minutes, until I finally walked over to the garbage can in my room and began dusting the glass out of my hair. I also went to the bathroom to wash the blood from my hands, which were badly scraped up, too. The staff watched. My hands were never checked, let alone bandaged.
