Family doc said I had to get an appointment with a rheumatologist in order to receive the osteoporosis shot. This was in April at my yearly physical. When I called for a Penn appt, was told no appts until January 2025. This is crazy!! Going out of network to Virtua - doc had excellent reviews.
Made an appointment to go here and got a call before I’m suppose to go that someone scheduled me on the day the doctor does virtual appointments. So they scheduled me that day to do the appointment via Skype. Called me back a few minutes later to say sorry you are out of state so we can’t do that type of appointment (understandable), so I asked for the next appointment which is not until September 2023. It took over a year to get in to see Dr. Dunham but he is worth it. The most thorough and responsive physician I've ever seen. Between appointments I'm able to contact him through the portal and I ALWAYS get a response with 24 hours even for non urgent issues. He not only cares but makes sure to ask my opinion and involve me in my own care. His staff is excellent as well. They deal with my insurance company and anything that has to be authorized quickly and I never have to wait weeks or months for medication or treatment to ... read more
