Getting an appointment was fine, as was the phone staff, but I was very unhappy with the procedure itself. Technician seemed to "miss" what he was aiming for, despite ultrasound guidance. Had to be re-done, where it was short, sweet and much less painful, and done in a doctor's office.
Trying to get an MRI with PENN is IMPOSSIBLE! They're insisting they need a pre-authorization number from my insurance and my insurance says I do not need one. They refuse to schedule my appointment without this number. I've wasted the last 45 minutes calling PENN scheduling twice, my insurance and now my doctor. DO NOT GO TO PENN RADIOLOGY unless you want nothing but headaches. On they whole they've become more concerned with pencil pushing than their patients. It's absolutely ridiculous!!!
Giving my experience a one for the reseaon stated below. However, I had no problem with the office staff or technicians of this practice. My issue is with the radiologist. After recieving the results of my MRI, I have had 2 different doctors (after seeing the CD) tell me the radiologist read the results wrong and I actually have a very bad disc herniation not even noted on his report. So my bad review is for the quality of the radiologist reading my images which has caused me to be improperly treated at PT and chiropractors ... read more
Nobody in radiology answers the phone or returns the multiple messages left for them. It’s extremely disturbing to know that you can’t schedule a test to determine whether you have a life threatening condition. This place is a lawyers dream!!!
