My dad passed away at Chester County Hospital under the fantastic care of Penn Medicine Hospice. The hospice team was truly incredible! The doctor, nurses, social workers. Everyone was so kind and compassionate, thorough in their explanations, and they kept Dad comfortable through till the end. We feel incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with Penn Medicine Hospice at such a difficult time!
My mother was discharged from the hospital to home and I was told she was medically stable, not terminal and expected to make near a full recovery. I was with her at discharge. The plan was for physical and speech therapy. She was looking forward to therapy. It was well documented she did not want hospice. If I could give a lower score I would too! My mother was referred to Penn Hospice on Monday July 8. Her intake was not done until TWO DAYS LATER! If I could give a lower score I would. My best friend laid in agony for 2 weeks because she was allergic to morphine and they ran out of liquid Ativan. Criminal !
The nurses, Aides, and social worker were the best we've ever known. We began my niece's care at a different hospice and the quality of care was terrible. The medical equipment driver mentioned Penn Med and we immediately switched over. Everyone at Penn Med was professional, compassionate, and their care extended to the family members as well. I couldn't have asked for better care for my niece in her last days. Thank you Linda, Jackie, Regina, Michelle, and Meredith ❤️
