I was told over the phone the cost of my appointment would be less than $200 to see Dr Sheila Bagchi. Then they billed the insurance company over $800. This violates the federal No Surprises Act.
I went here for a routine exam, as I am new to the area. I was aware that my insurance does not cover routine exams. In short, I agreed to the first of two shots for shingles (RZV). The charge for the shot turned out to be $502. I went to a CVS for the second shot. The cost there is $32. I called Penn Medicine to question this egregious charge. As you can imagine, I got nowhere.
Went to get an endoscopy, literally the worst experience of my life and nothing came from it, just extra time and chest pain.
