Welcome to penn highlands emergency room where we will make you sit in waiting rooms for a quarter of your day and still give you no updates as to when you will get out of the waiting rooms. Yes there are multiple waiting rooms and no you aren't actually any closer to getting in if they move you from one to another. There was at least 5 different people that just walked out and went elsewhere because no ones actually getting help at this hospital.

Pretty shitty place blew out multiple veins in my arms because they couldn’t get an iv In and when I called to ask about a medicine they put me on they couldn’t answer anything over the phone they wanted me to just come back in and get reevaluated for what, more money in their pockets for low quality work… please just close at this point. Low staff long wait times and so much attitude.

Please be advised that they will disregard anything you tell them it's only do what they think will benefit themselves, this includes numerous unnecessary scans a part of your body that you previously told them were unaffected, racking you a massive bill and then tell you that there's nothing wrong with you and then proceed to kick you out. (Note: They have this department separately listed from the main hospital probably in order to boost ratings so i gave them both the same review. You're welcome!)

Horrible doctors are there, they keep rushing out patients without properly testing them, at least the receptionist is decent.

I have been to the ER myself a couple years ago with not great results from the dr or nurses. But today we had to take our grandson to the ER with severe vomiting and pain. Nurse Makenzie was right there taking excellent care of him and Dr Gates came in right away and listened to all our concerns and knew right away what was going on. He took his time to explain everything was very informative and gave our grandson the treatment he needed for the vomiting and horrible pain. Everyone was very kind and helpful.
