Called them two days after surgery and spoke to a co-ordinator on Saturday, I explained I had abnormal swelling in my arm and hand and I was concerned. She said she was not a dr and to come down would cost $450.00. Terrible attitude, no empathy, horrible experience. My future surgeries will not be with Ramsay and definitely not Peninsula Private.
I came in on Wednesday afternoon with a raging fever, paired with a headache that I have never experienced before. I was riddled with anxiety with the unknown of what was going on with me. Every single staff memeber here at Peninsula Private made me feel heard, cared for and in safe hands; Right from the admission in ED, through to the ER, and my 3 night stay on Acacia ward room 24! My Peninsula private review. Admission staff were excellent, pre-surgery nurses were excellent, and surgeons were excellent. However, that was where it stopped. What a disgrace in recovery. The nurse's English was a second language. I felt like I was at a nail salon. I had my arm held up to dim the light as my head was throbbing; a nurse walked past, talking to my nurse in their launage and made a comment calling me 'Statue of Liberty' (because I had my arm up, I guess).
