I am happy that they saw my partner quickly, processing him through emergency and then admitting him into a bed within hours. However, not enough doctors on the weekends and MRI’s should still take place to help give faster answers. Nurses seem stressed and not relaxed/friendly, no biscuits/snacks provided or offers for sandwiches for patients and immediate family, have seen better hospitality in public. Great care and prompt.
Arrived in Emergency Dept: 25/2/25 - acute lower abdomen pain. Checked in and on a bed within an hour. Scans and tests started soon after. Emergency surgery next day followed by 4 day stay. Surgeon Vladmir Bolshinsky was amazing! He checked in each day, plus ongoing support after leaving hospital, great surgeon, beautiful human! Nursing staff in ED and the Ward were all amazing. The nursing staff in the Protea ward are nasty bullies ! My husband was never offered a shower or fresh linen for 2 days So I went in and showered him and changed his bedding myself. Afterwards I was confronted by 3 staff member abruptly for not wearing a mask in the hallway, then when I contacted management to report this issue I was told that it's not a requirement to wear a mask in the hallway but they are supporting their staffs unprofessional behaviour. I also found random medication on the floor
Thanks -to the friendly and efficient admin staff -the nurses were truly outstanding, providing compassionate and attentive care throughout my stay -the cleaners and helpers were above average - clean beds , linen and bathrooms -Overall the care I received was exceptional - last but not least, the anesthetist and the staff in the surgery room were efficient and friendly and of course Dr Rodney Teperman is a legend! I was 100% satisfied with my experience here and wouldn’t hesitate to return if needed.
