In this era of Covid we worry about our loved ones needing to spend time away from their safe homes. But nonetheless, it sometimes comes down to that. My dad has been at Peninsula for almost two weeks and has received excellent care. Of course the food is not as good as mom makes, but he likes it. The staff are very nice and helpful and caring. In my opinion, the care my mother received when she was at Peninsula Post Acute was poor, neglectful, and incompetent. She went in to rehab and build strength to walk steadily and more safely. She received therapy once per day and then she was left in a wheelchair the rest of the time. She was walking when she entered the facilty and came out weaker and with pneumonia.
