I have never experienced a more disorganized company than SimonMed. I used to go to Peninsula Diagnostic and they were great but SimonMed bought them out. SimonMed charged me upfront for a procedure instead of billing my insurance first. I received documents from my insurance company stating that my co-pay was less than what SimonMed charged me upfront. It's been 2.5 months and to this date have not gotten back my refund of $300+. If you had a mammogram done here and need a copy of it, DON'T CALL THEM - unless you love complicated situations with no resolution in sight... GO DIRECTLY TO 101 S SAN MATEO DRIVE, second floor, and ask the wonderful receptionists to make you a copy of your previous mammograms - go have a coffee and pastry on 3rd street, and come back to get your CD. They scan and test for all matter of things.
I've been going there for years. They've been bought. The new owner has no record of me or any past visits, no idea who the staff is, the local number takes you to some kind of call center, and they couldn't put me through to the actual reception desk (after two tries) and hung up on me. Forget about it -- find someplace locally run.
They are the worst! The crew who pick up the phone don’t speak English - ask you to spell your name 3 times and still got it all wrong - said to transfer you but actually just hanged up the phone They don’t have a way to find your past records! So ridiculous! I have to go through the pain to obtain that myself. If thats their strategy to retain patients I am not falling for it!
