By far the worst power supply company in the face of the earth. Absolutely terrible customer service and very rude people to deal with they try and make you feel is your fault the power is out here all the time.. Would luv to see if it was they're house losing power all the time I bet it would of been fixed immediately years ago!! Get your act together penelec!!
Received a shut off notice today at around 5pm when I got home from work, I will admit I am about a month behind in my electric bill, I have lived in several states and other locations in PA and being a month behind in this economy is understandable. I tried to call customer service 2-3 hour wait time to speak to someone? So I said screw it I'll drive to location in Towanda just a few minutes up the road before they close at 6pm.... upon arrival the business location looks abandoned, with a sign on the door stating Lobby clo... read more
Super slow service will make u talk to an ai for 20mins before even transferring you to an actual person then make u wait 2 hours
Planned power outages in winter with sub-freezing temps are ridiculous. There are sick & elderly people who need to stay in their own homes, not a shelter. No common sense by this company. Planned outages can be scheduled for more clement weather in the spring and fall. Two years in a row it was also ridiculously done the same week as Thanksgiving.
