Me and friends wanted to try something different and we come across this lovely Malaysian restaurant in Upton Lane and we all loved it. The decoration was nice, the food was fantastic, the service was wonderful and the price was good. We had the platter for 5 which included lots of different dishes plus Malaysian dessert and tea for �89.00 which we thought was quiet generous. I would differently visit again.
Very good food
Authentic tasty Malaysian food, friendly staff with excellent service, and decent prices for big portions. Staff were helpful and even made amends to menu to cater for us. Would definitely recommend.
I was asked to leave this review as I are in the restaurant. My wife opted to eat because we like Malaysian food and are fans of a specific chain with a restaurant based in Euston. We attended Penang city in the hope of getting some authentic Malaysian - but I don’t think we did. We ordered roti canai dhal, prawn sambal and tea tarik. visited penang city in upton lane to try their new nasi kandar platters. the lamb shank was my favourite, so tender, smoky and full of flavour, while the fried chicken was surprisingly soft and juicy. loved the bhajis, tangy sambal and mixed curry gravy too. the seafood platter had lots of variety, although the fried fish was a little dry for me. also tried the big malaysian breakfast, which is great value, their new corndog and my favourite mango sticky rice. lots of lovely malaysian dishes to choose from!
