I was happy to find a fountain pen store in Columbia, MD on my way home. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. The store was filled with lots of happy customers. The customer service was truly excellent. I left with a new pen and some very nice notebooks. There was a sale, so the price was less than I expected. I will be back!
I bought a TCMC ink bottle. It arrived leaked and ink everywhere. I got half bottle of the ink left. I contacted customer service and never heard back at all.
I ordered a really nice Pilot metropolitan fountain pen, a converter and some fancy ink. As I was installing the converter, I dropped the pen. I didn't think it was a big deal because it only fell a few inches. After filling the converter, I noticed the ink kept leaking onto my thumb and finger. Upon closer examination, I discovered the "section" that holds the converter to the nib had a tiny crack that allowed the ink to leak out of. I was pretty sad... Best pen store!! Great selection & prices. They communicate well, letting you know if there is a delay or an issue. Pen Boutique has one of the largest selections of pens, and from time to time they offer a unique "mystery bag". The staff is always kind and helpful, plus the company donates a percentage of their income to charity.
