I have been going to Pelican Thrift since it was in the old location. Prices have gone up and the pieces are not worth what they are priced. I probably walk through the store once a month and have not been impressed lately. I did like the area rug I got for a reasonable price. When I win the lottery I guess I can finally get the velvet couch of my dreams. Still going to patronize your business, just a little disappointed in the pricing and recent selection.
I love this store !!! The staff is always super helpful and willing to share their wealth of knowledge of the furnishings. Skip, Roxie and Josh are always fun to see and converse with....and sometimes are willing to haggle :-)
I absolutely love old and used things. I am amazed at how much, how big of a time span and how complete so many sets are. I feel like I am walking through my childhood in many ways. I will buy old before new any day. My only wish is that sold items be removed, it is so much to look through and if sold items were delted I could see more inventory. I own Groovy Grooming by PAIJ in chalmette and I have looked for weeks for chairs.....someone on fb referred me to this place and it was a blessing. They are super helpful and customer service was amazing. Great items at amazing prices. Thank you for all your help. We will be back soon!!!
