I’m writing to complement Mitch Keilman and his company Pelican Builders. My husband and I are residences in Somerset Green community. I have had the pleasure of working directly with Mr. Keilman on a construction project on my home. Charged a premium price but delivered a sub standard home. Superintendent Mark is rarely seen on the site and is personally very cunning. He does not check the process and only rely on subcontractors, who performed poorly. When issues showed up, he just cover thing up. The final product has leaky roof, wrong cabinet layouts, wrong doors, wrong window size, missing insulation, etc. Even for items that my inspector pointed out, this builder refused to address. I would not hire this company to build your home. They do not take pride in their customers. Their communication skills are lacking not to mention their financial position. I would advise caution if using these people to build your home.

A nightmare! From the sales agent that lied about the time to build the home to the individual who was in charge of non existent oversight of the home to the final product that after six months since move in problems continue to arise . There are other builders in Houston . Shop around and if you chose Pelican be prepared for problems that all arise from the lack of oversight ( city inspections are the oversight)during the build and unmet promises of multi step inspections and repairs that never happen .
