If I had my time over, there’s not a chance I would use Pele’s Wedding and Events for my wedding. P.s That’s review from Jason is likely Enoch. I’d be happy to provide what I ordered vs what I got pictures to anyone. Truly, don’t waste your time.
STAY AWAY. We booked Enoch in 2020 for our September wedding, and I even made him include verbiage about Covid-19 in our contract. In the event that Hawaii extended their travel ban, we would receive our deposit back. Well, the ban was extended and we had to cancel, and he stole our money. He first gave us some sob story about needing the money (which we didn’t fall for), and after reminding him that he broke a LEGAL CONTRACT, he has continued to ghost us for over a year now. Still waiting on our $2k that will never come.
I would give him a -5 stars if I could! My wife, daughter and her fiancé and I paid a $2,000 deposit in June, 2020, to Pele’s Wedding and Events for wedding services for July 27, 2021 at the Senosta (formerly Kauai Marriott). After several non-successful attempts to reach him, we finally received an email stating that he could not provide his services due to medical reasons nor refund our money. Enoch is the most awesome planner ever. He goes above and beyond his duties and makes sure that all couples are well taken cared of. I never do this, but the 2 reviews after doing some searching are both from Australia. Coincidence? Maybe. Pele’s wedding & Events is a great company. I attended a wedding planned by Pele as a guest. I was appalled by the lack of organisation. The day was an absolute shambles and I felt embarrassed for the bride and groom as it was out of their control and it made us feel awkward as guests. Save your money and look elsewhere.
