What a letdown visiting Pikan Media in Philly, don’t buy into all the overhyped fusion praise. Their so-called fresh sushi tasted fishy and rubbery; the salmon had dull, uneven marbling with a weird metallic aftertaste, nowhere near premium quality. The garlic string beans were drowning in cloying salty brown sauce, overcooked and mushy, zero garlic aroma at all. I’m gutted over how terrible my usual order turned out at this restaurant that used to be my go-to spot. Their General Tso’s Chicken used premium crisp white meat every single time, yet now they serve flavorless dark meat that went limp the second the sauce hit it.
