In 1978, Eddie Tsui wanted to open a restaurant specializing in a unique northern chinese cuisine. After deciding on Peking Duck as the specialty, Peking Gourmet Inn was born. Realizing that store-bought ingredients were not adequate to generate the authentic taste he was seeking, he opted to go the route of growing his own jumbo spring onions, as well as formulating his own recipe for hoisin sauce and hand crafting each pancake. The best Peking Duck Ever I have been going to Peking Gourmet since the early 80's and have never had a bad meal. I love the family style servings and the lazy susan on the table to facilitate sharing. The duck is always cooked to perfection then carved tableside. The pancakes are thin so they complement and not over power the duck. Make sure you ask to take the carcass home to make duck soup! Best peking duck! They have the best peking duck ever. I come back time and time again. The service is always great and the duck always comes out quickly and is carved table-side. Also recommend any of their cocktails, the volcano bowl is really tasty!
A nice place to go once or twice I know this place because once George Bush visited this place as well as other celebrities. I went there with my wife and one friend who are both from China. At first we think it was a small place but I was wrong. There is a huge room behind the small door. The food is ok, the best is the Peking Duck, and remember to ask for the soup which is made from the un-used part of the duck you ordered. Good Chinese Food This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. Obviously, the place is known for its peking duck, but many of its other dishes are good and unlike many Chinese restaurants, the food is not overly greasy and heavy. The service here is good as well.
