they are fast and efficient I’ll give them that but when it comes to mental health I doubt that they are educated enough about the topic. I had two mental health emergencies where the paramedics had to get involved. the paramedics were comparing my situation and downplaying it to others and called me dumb. the second time I was forcibly cuffed even though I didn’t run away or try to hurt anyone. the older paramedic then insulted me and also said that it was pointless to come and that I deserved to be embarrassed. my family w... read more

There was a female paramedic that brought us to CVH emerg tonight that I’d like to complain about 10/20/24 at 2200. I’m a nurse that works for CVH, I was trying to help by grabbing my grandma’s arm to the stretcher when this female paramedic yanked my arm away and told me not to touch my grandma. I do not appreciate to be touched just as it is posted in our CVH rules and regulations that unwanted touch is not tolerated. words are more than enough to get your point across. Called for an ambulance at 1116 pm as family member non responsive lying on bathroom floor dispatcher said it would be a few min. Family member started to improve/ orientated and BP I checked good. No ambulance or call for 30 min- I called back Dispatcher said there were a number of life and death situations/ but they would come After 50 min from original call and improvement in condition I called 911 again The ambulance had not been dispatched so I cancelled it.
