Dr. V is my elderly mother's doctor as well as mine. He literally saved my mom's life a few times- his demands that she goes to ER immediately, getting tested same day, would be life saving- sepsis and colon cancer, caught in time. He always takes time & is very thorough with visits. I was so impressed with his actions for my mom, he is my PCP(primary care physician). His staff ( nurses and receptionists) are all friendly and I would highly recommend Dr. Villanueva
Recently found out I was diabetic he prescribed medication and sent me in my way. No information at all not what blood sugar should be I mean nothing after bloodwork I received a message to also take insulin and like I said this is new to me and I got nothing! When insurance wouldn’t cover glucose meter I called 5 times to get them to do prior authorization from pharmacy and it was never done on my own a week later I finally received a meter so for a week I had no idea what my blood sugar was. I’ve had a good experience with Dr Villanueva for 7 years. However, this last year has been a challenge just getting my medication straight with his staff. Several complaints later I’ve switched Riverside doctors to insure better proscription accuracy and integrity.
Ok so can u say I am over frustrated. I have been searching and searching for a PCP finally get in as a new patient with this facility just to be left with a sour taste of disappointment. I live over 30 minutes away from this location but I didn’t mind because I was referred here. Now I thought I scheduled my appointment for 11:30an online but come to find out it was for 11:20.
