Dec 2017 Took our 9mo for cough, fever, chest congestion today to a new Peds urgent care. When they went to look in his ears, the nurse scooted me out of the way and held the child’s arms down above his head, so immediately he was screaming. Then the nurse picked him up and said we will be right outside so you two can talk (referring to me and the dr) and began to close the door. Huh!??! Luckily Dr Archuleta needed a prescription pad so nurse walked out got the pad and came right back, but she was planning to take my naked b... read more

I was charged $35 for asking a question during an annual check up. We won't be returning. The customer service by the office manager was the worst I have experienced in connection with medical care for my children.
We've used James River Pediatrics for both our kids and LOVE them. Check out their facebook page for more reviews since Google doesn't have many. There are 2 pediatricians and a fairly small staff, so they're great about getting to know each child individually.
We could not ask for a better pediatric group. Both doctors are wonderful.
