My kids have gone here for years, they were okay but nothing to complain about but that changed today. My daughter wanted to try contacts. She had her eye exam and we were told she had to come in for a mandatory training and fitting session so we scheduled the appointment. The appointment went okay, was longer than needed due to the office training a new employ during the visit but still no real complaints. We chose this office after having a positive experience with Pennock successfully treating our daughter's blocked tear duct. Unfortunately, our experience with a routine eye exam was extremely disappointing. Due to traffic and ongoing construction, the trip to and from the office took about 1.5 hours each way. While that isn't the office's fault, it made the other issues we encountered even more frustrating. The appointment itself lasted nearly two hours. The front desk staff and staff working in optometry with glasses were lovely. Unfortunately, I was not there for optometry purposes, I was there with concerns with eye drift for my 3 year old son. I was disappointed with the quality of care or time taken to observe his condition or hear concerns. My son definitely needed time to adjust to the doctor and exam but that time was not given. With having to drive over 2 hours they were not willing to see both our kids in the same day. Very unprofessional front staff.
