I’m doing a major shout out to the Pediatric Unit at GBMC. After being sent home from Urgent Care on Saturday night saying our 6 month old was fine… she was in fact not fine. After a scary 24 hours after, I took her to GBMC ER late Sunday night where she was admitted for telltale signs of RSV/ Bronchiolitis. Nothing is more terrifying than seeing your baby struggle to get enough oxygen and become unresponsive during sleep (I had a very hard time waking her up). Peds er have always taken great care of our boys! Great staff
My son was rushed here by ambulance after being bit by a neighbor’s Great Dane, leaving multiple large puncture wounds. while the actual pediatric nurse was great. The entire facility and care were horrendous. Their pediatric doctors don’t assess wounds.. so they called over an adult trauma doctor. Where one said he would need stitches, the other said no. Let it heal on its own. They barely looked at it. Said they’ll prescribe some antibiotics and they’ll bandage him up… there could be potential muscle damage that his pediat... read more

GBMC ER pediatrics has excellent doctors and nurses. We didn’t have to wait a long time. When your child is sick is very stressful but the staff at this hospital is so compassionate and helpful.
