Quick trip ! It's a quick trip to go to the doctor or to get blood work or other type LAB work done. Not only is it a short distance but the wait isn't as long as going to York. I just wish the OB/GYN had not moved from this location. Everyone at these offices are friendly and don't rush you through your visit.
So convenient to have so close by I was so happy when they put the Wellspan facility in Dover. It is very convenient. Anytime I need a blood test, or a mammogram, or any other kind of testing done, I don't have to run the whole way out to the hospital or to Apple Hill or another lab or imaging center. The staff there if friendly, and they usually are able to get you in and out quickly so you can get back to your day.
Wrong Vaccine-Beware!! I have the unfortunate situation where my 18 mo old child received the WRONG vaccination. They were given meningitis instead of MMR. Needless to say both my husband and just about everyone I've run into has been completely shocked. Added to this stress was a visit today where my child has a rash all over their body. This comes two weeks after a follow up appt to receive the right immunization. Would never go again We had taken our 3 month old baby here for a cold, after the doctor spent all of 2 minutes in the room he gave us a referral to have chest xrays done. Being new parents and being told the whole time during pregnancy that xrays are not good for a baby we decided to get a second opinion, which the other doctor said the same thing so we went and had them done. Horrible experience with Dr. O'brien Don't bring your children here!!! My 5 yr old son was seen by Dr. O'brien for stitches and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I went home traumatized. He was completely unprofessional, & rude to his own staff (which made me very nervous). Then, he was incredibly rude and demeaning to me when I requested that he give me a note on how to care for my sons stitches (this dr office does NOT properly equip parents). Pediatric Care of York-Shrewsbury location I have been very happy with all of the pediatricians/nurses and receptionists at the Shrewsbury office!! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great, warm, caring staff to take their child(ren) to.We have moved out of state, and I reluctantly have had to take our child to another pediatric practice that is closer to our home. Pediatric Care of York sure doesn't care I switched to PCY from my family doctor at the recommendation of a long time friend. What a disappointment! My daughter had a cold and was wheezing terribly. My husband called to schedule an appointment for her at 8:30 am and was told she could not be seen until 9:30 pm. I called my family doctor and asked to switch her back and they told me to bring her in immediately and when I asked if I needed an appointment they said no to rush her in if she was having breathing difficulties...ye... read more
Would NOT recommend! RATING: 1 STAR!!!! (would not allow me to click anything below 4 stars!) We have gone to Pediatric Care of York since my daughter was born (4 years ago). The waiting rooms and offices are very clean. I like that there is a separate waiting room for the sick children. The office hours are also very nice, and they are always open for emergencies.
