After spending a week travelling around Cape Breton and staying in different hotels, motels, and cabins, this was by far our best value. We were only staying in Louisbourg for one night, with a visit to the Fortress of Louisbourg in mind, so we booked a cottage for the family for one night. If we were regular visitors to Louisbourg, we would not write this review because we would want to keep this gem to ourselves. This was by far the cleanest place we have stayed at on our East Coast trip - even the floor was clean for our home standards. Kitchen and stove/oven worked well. Well made beds with clean fluffy pillows. BBQ outside. A fan was plenty with lots of ocean breeze. Little laundromat in the main building - $2 or $4.50 in coins only for washing machines. What a delightfully clean and welcoming cottage. I would highly recommend it to everyone in the area. The owners are very welcoming, and filled with info on the special gem locations of the Louisbourg area. Please hide them a try, you won’t regret it!
Place très correct. Propre et équipements correct. Les lits sont un peu trop ferme a mon goût. Il y avait des odeurs pas très agréable a notre arrivée dans les 2 châlet les fenêtres était ouverte les les ventilateurs étais en fonction.
Reasonable place to stay following our visit to the fortress. Check-in/check-out was simple, cottages were clean, furniture was relatively new. Good location, useful kitchen if there for a longer stay. We had an issue with the door lock (our fault!) and Darrell was very attentive, had it fixed very quickly. Only took a star off as the cottage had a bit of a scent, wasn't so bad but I can see how someone with sensitivities might find it difficult! Overall good choice for the area, especially with last minute availability.
