I took my PTE test at the Toronto St. Clair centre and had a disappointing experience. The computer I used (Station #10) froze several times for 2–3 seconds, and I’m confident some of my answers didn’t submit properly. My test was on November 22 at 4:15 PM, I finished around 6:10 PM, and I received my result at 8:02 PM the same evening — even before I got home — which made me doubt that everything was processed correctly. I feel compelled to write a review after reading about the experiences others had here. The whole process was smooth, from checkin to writing the book to exam. Staff were professional and efficient. My exam didn’t require the use of a headset though so I can’t comment on that. It really helps if you read the instructions provided by your organization prior to heading over. Complications will always arise if you forget something or didn’t realize it what the procedures are.
The staff were professional and friendly, and the environment was good. The only issue was the headphones. it stopped working during the speaking part and I miss my time and score. I suggest all test-takers to carefully check the headphone volume before starting the test
