Very friendly staff! Fun experience!
My girlfriend lost her wallet, and phone out on the streets and one of the employees here found it. She called the emergency contact and made sure we got everything back. We are from out of state and were very stressed to find it! Real life savers here!
Disappointing tourist trap at Pearl Factory in Kona. The “pick your own oyster” gimmick starts cheap, but the hard-sell pressure to buy expensive settings is relentless—ended up spending way more than planned on overpriced jewelry. The pearls felt low-quality and mass-produced, nothing special. Skip it and save your money for better souvenirs elsewhere.
It is a very cool experience to pick your oyster, crack it open and see what pearl you’re going to get. Unfortunately I had a pretty disappointing experience. I asked before I decided to do the pearl thing if I had to get it made into jewelry after, the employee said no I didn’t have to get it made into jewelry after but that it’d be hard to find someone to do it afterwards.
