I enjoyed my stay here! The only things that prevented this from being a 5 star review is that the air conditioner compressor wouldn’t turn back on after cycling off unless I turned the thermostat on and off. Also, the pillowcases had an almost velvety texture, which I did not prefer as I prefer cool pillows. But otherwise, the employees are all really nice, the hotel is located in a good area, and the breakfast was decent!

I stayed here because I was going to a St Louis City soccer game and this hotel is literally right across the street. It's also just across the street from Union Station. I took the train from the airport, and that's the nearest stop. Anyways, the hotel itself is nice and the rooms are nice. The breakfast is good too. I was surprised that there was a 'happy hour' in the early evening with free snacks and free drinks, a really fantastic perk that I wasn't expecting! Very walkable to this part of STL. When I arrived to check in around 2:30 PM, four guests were ahead of me in line. By the time I reached the counter, six or seven more had lined up behind me. Despite being the only clerk on duty, the woman at the front desk was remarkable - calm, focused, and efficient. Midway through my check-in, the phone rang. She politely excused herself, answered the call with professionalism, then returned without missing a beat, seamlessly picking up right where she left off. We were ALL impressed.
