I shared my MRI results (tears in rotator cuff and bicep tendon) with Dr. Stephen Magee to obtain his opinion on whether I should go forward with surgery and Steve immediately referred me to Dr. Evan and persuaded me not to have surgery until I was seen first by Dr. Evan Vasilauskas. Kind ,funny, and the best physical therapy !
“You’re my hero” is a phrase that Dr. Evan often hears me say when I come in for my appointments. I had an injury occur during weightlifting almost 2 years ago that never fully resolved, and wasn’t improving after numerous months of PT at another clinic. When a slip on the ice caused a rotator tear and separated shoulder, I went here for p.t. My son also used this facility for a similar injury so it was a simple choice. Dr. Evan was provided an excellent balance between working back into shap while protecting the injury. Anything I mentioned wanting to be able to do resulted in a series of exercises specifically for that purpose. My son and I could not have been happier with the treatment. Would highly recommend working with Dr. Evan! Hands down my favorite physical therapist in the Grosse Pointe area. I was in so much pain when I started coming to Peak Performance and after 2 months I’m not living in constant pain and I’m so much stronger.
