My father went to the ER at 11am last night for AFib, and as of 6am this morning, is still sitting in a room waiting to be seen. Seems like medical malpractice to let someone with a HR of 130 sit with no intervention. This hospital clearly is unable to staff accordingly which many times is due to poor culture and a lack of accountability among many other factors.
Huge thanks to Jessie at Peace Health SW Emergency Dept. She was super helpful and kind and showed a great deal of empathy for my mom. Most important, she was 100% engaged. Peacehealth, you are lucky to have her on staff. Thanks Jessie!
I am extremely disappointed with our experience at the Emergency Department at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. We waited nearly four hours before being seen by a doctor while the patient’s condition was getting worse. During that time, we were repeatedly told to “just wait,” with no meaningful updates, no clear explanation of delays, and no reassurance about what was happening. Very slow service for what they charge you
I’m really impressed with the staff here at the PH ER on Mill Plain. They work together - quietly, efficiently. They explain things clearly and repeatedly if necessary. These situations are stressful — I’m very thankful for their professionalism, skill, talents, and kindness.
