Worst hospital I've ever been at
There was a woman working the desk (40s, long dyed blonde hair) who was horrible towards an older couple. First the old man made a joke about the wait and she glared at him and said something snotty. Hours later, when the couple’s names were finally called, the wife had fallen asleep and didn’t hear. So the nurse comes from behind the counter, stands over them impatiently saying get up, wake up, come on, get moving. Zero compassion or kindness. I came in on a busy Friday night and the staff here had me in and out in less than 2 hours, feeling way better than I did when I arrived. I truly appreciate the compassionate and efficient care. I know it’s a tough job but thank you all so much for taking good care of the community.
Short version: Go to McKenzie-Willamette instead. Long version: This ER’s bad. Not “tragically understaffed” bad, just apathetic bad. I’ve worked civilian and military medicine across multiple states and countries, and to be fair, it’s not as miserable as the El Paso VA; but that’s like saying Chernobyl wasn’t as bad as Hiroshima. Well it's clear why this hospital and PeaceHealth gets barely a two-star I just watched a person call to try to figure out if they needed to go to the emergency room or urgent care for an issue and your phone person hung up on them because they were crying. This literally just happened within the last 2 minutes. The person was on speaker phone and we can all hear what was going on...
