Called ER dept during a self harm crisis and the lady named Gail in the ER dept literally hung up on me after refusing to tell me how they could help me upon admittance. Called back in even worse condition and the man that answered at general ER desk or whatever, FIRST denied that "Gail would hang up on someone" and proceeded to accuse or me of yelling at her (which was clearly not the case). I walked out of that emergency room yesterday knowing once again I was dismissed. I have had so many horrible experiences with this ER with me with my child and in general. I almost died because I went into there hoping they would listen to me telling them I was suffering from an autoimmune disorder and I was hyper glycemic due to it. Another bs trip to this hospital. Some of the RNs in this hospital especially in the emergency room really should find a different job. Zero patience zero consideration zero compassion. They really should go back to McDonald's and get their jobs back. I just waited in the back for 4 hours and all they got completed was some blood work and it's not even done yet so they want me to go wait in the lobby just because day shift just clocked on. The place is an infirmary and I was treated rapidly and courteously. Thanks for treating my pneumonia and helping me on my way to recovery!
Honestly I wish I could give zero stars. Peacehealth does a horrible job of serving Lane County. Their emergency NOT designed for volume!!! Their "results pending area" is a joke! You sit in the lobby with other entering patients. No extra staff to monitor the patients. I once spent over 16 hours in this same ER!!! Salem Hospital serves a greater area with only one hospital. Waiting for hours with a kidney stone. There were only 4 people when I arrived! In Salem even when busy they had my pain under control within 30 minutes... read more
