I enjoy Gunderson, the ER doctors the worst in the world. They don't believe what you say and they treat you like garbage if you don't have a good diagnosis. Trust me they saved my life and got me sent to the hospital for a emergency surgery but they did it in a shity way. Please don't have a issue here on the island you might die.

Drove a friend to the ER about 10pm. She had fallen earlier in the day. After an x-ray, turned out she had cracked her sternum. It wash great to confirm how serious it was and not just a bruise.

I brought my 19 year old daughter into the clinic to be seen. We were there on vacation & not residents of the island. They refused to provide her care in the clinic. She needed a prescription for a blood pressure medication to lower her heart rate as she has a known heart condition. They said she could only go to the ER where she would be charged high amounts/ ER pricing but that it was okay because they offered payment plans. The set up was completely unethical. The PeaceHealth staff are courteous, attentive, and efficient. I think they're fine for trauma or emergency care -- I've had one Emergency Department visit, and felt that the attention and care were appropriate. But for my chronic conditions, I think they're inadequate and their approach is quite limited: take a pill! I would not call the treatments offered to me "health care" but rather "symptom management." (Some writers call this "a pill for an ill.")
