Childhood fun Peaceable kingdom is the place to go when you are bored and you need something to brighten your day. Everything from the pleasant dogs that roam around the store to the joke like shop products they carry you are bound to have a good time.
Great Stocking Stuffers The Peaceable Kingdom is the place to go if you are looking for stocking stuffers and little gag gifts, as well as some nicer home goods, toys, paper and bath goods. I have used them most often for little inexpensive toys/gifts, which they stock right in the middle of the store. You can find anything from oriental fans to wind-up cars, most of which are less than a dollar.
A local treasure The Peaceable Kingdom is a beloved mainstay of the downtown scene, with deep roots in the community. Lovely artisan goods by fine artists and skilled craftspeople, at fair prices--which can mean they are sometimes astonishingly inexpensive, as the owner really cares about her product and her customers. Great place to shop and take kids Peaceable Kingdom is one of the few shops I stop in every time I visit Ann Arbor. Lots of great gifts, from random little trinkets to fun jewelry to home decor to political bumper stickers. Worth a stop in. And check out the fairy door outside the main, human entrance.
