Not only poor electrical service; excessive downtimes, but customer service is just as bad. We manage hundreds of properties and PRECO is the worst utility provider there is.
This place cares nothing about the people. I pay double what I used to pay for fLp and get way worse service and customer service. The fact that they speak to you and show no concern. No notice when turning off power to do maintenance. Come home to ac not working and being told I can submit a claim. But I have to pay our of pocket to get it working it can take weeks to get a call. We moved to a new rental community and Peace River was our only option for service. After 10 months they still cannot get my online account setup, and I rarely receive statements. Our autopay expired and we were disconnected for being two weeks late. No call, no notice given. We were randomly assessed hundreds in additional deposit fees ontop of the reconnection fee. I was told I had paid for the past due month and the coming month and that somebody would contact me to assist with getting my account setup so I could view it.... read more
Horrible electric company. Power always goes out at delweb in lakewood ranch. Don't move to Florida. They are the worst electric company in Florida.
Awful company in tbe sense that they reduse to text you when your autopay expures or before they cut off your electricity on the grounds that you don’t have text messages set up on your account. But, they do send you text messages, by default, for over the phone payments even though I had not request that either. Anyway, we were on vacation and our autopay card after 4 years of autopay had expired and we were never notified (they claim it’s our responsibility to watch) so we lost several hundred $$ worth of groceries in the ... read more
