Nice atmosphere, and the staff is great, but the food was a bit bland. Prices are ok, would be fine if the food was better.
GO HERE!!! :D Omg! I'm only eleven but i absoulutley love this place! My family of seven has been going here for the past 4 years and when i wasn't born 7 years before that! Sure it sometimes has a line but it is worth the wait... The BLT is to die for and thr Pea Soup rocks and this is coming from someone who HATES absolutley HATES peas!! Go there next time your in Solvang, its worth the wait trust me.
I know this place is "famous" but... Why??? As a kid we always loved the signs but I only remember stopping to eat there maybe once. So, I thought we should try it out because it is so well known. Maybe I know why we never went as a kid. We waited in a line for 15 minutes to get food that was so bad, I did not want to finish it and I felt sick afterwards. The pea soup was decent but the lasagna I had and the meal my husband had were both terrible. Stop at Denny's if you have to but not here.
Andersen's Pea Soup! I've been to Andersen's a few times. It's conveniently located right off of the I-5 freeway. My relatives used to stop there on long car drives from northern California to southern California. Andersen's also have a gift shop with cards, children's books, candy, etc.
Famous Pea Soup Home of the famous split pea soup. Just minutes away from famous Solvang. This restaurant serves the famous travelers special which includes their famous Split pea soup, rolls and butter and a thick chocolate milk shake, just like the old drug store soda fountain. They also have a bakery of delicious baked goods and a gift shop full of lovely souveneirs. Located right off the fwy for easy access.
Landmark Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant has been in Buellton for many, many years. They do have decent food, but nothing out of this world. The pea soup is pretty good though. A fun place to visit.

Try the Pea Soup – We go to Anderson's everytime we're in the area. Everything I've had there is good but you have got to try the pea soup. I HATE pea soup... but I LOVE their's. They also make a killer BLT if you're not in the mood for soup. The wait staff is always friendly attentive as well. While you're there, look around; they have lots of cool stuff to see.
